Present - Spanish Verbs
Regular Spanish Verbs
To conjugate the regular verbs in the present tense of the subjunctive mood, you
take the infinitive form of the verb as it is found in the dictionary, you remove
the group endings (-ar, -er, -ir) and replace them with the personal endings. The
stem of the verb remains the same.
The personal endings for the Present Tense of the Subjunctive Mood are as follows.
TIP: Most Spanish verbs fall under the -ar group.
Irregular Spanish Verbs
The irregular verbs are conjugated in the same way as the regular verbs but with
some verbs you will find the irregularity within certain vowels of the stem of the
verb. The changes will affect to yo(I), tú(you), él/ella/usted(he,she,it) and the
ellos, ellas(they) forms.
The vowels that change are e-ie, o-ue, e-i
and u-ue.
