Learn Spanish DEFINITE ARTICLES

Articles are words we use to determine a noun. Definite articles determine the noun in a specific way. In English the definite article has only one form: “the” while in Spanish, as we distinguish between masculine and feminine, singular and plural, the equivalent of “the” will take on four different forms. "el, la, los and las".

The Spanish definite articles are listed below:

Learn Spanish INDEFINITE ARTICLES

Indefinite articles determine the noun in a non-specific way. In Spanish, as we distinguish between masculine and feminine, singular and plural, the English indefinite article “a/an” is going to have four forms: “un, una, unos and unas”. The plural forms can be the equivalent to the English “some and any”.

The Spanish indefinite articles are listed below:

LOS ARTICULOS DETERMINADOS

Los artículos son palabras que utilizamos para determinar los nombres. Los artículos determinados determinan al nombre de una manera específica. En inglés el artículo determinado sólo tiene una forma: “the” mientras que en español, como distinguimos entre masculino y femenino, singular y plural, el equivalente a “the” tiene cuatro formas diferentes. “el, la, los y las”.

Los artículos determinados españoles son los de abajo:

ARTICULOS INDETERMINADOS

Los artículos indeterminados determinan al nombre de una manera general. En español, como distinguimos entre masculino y femenino, singular y plural, el artículo indeterminado inglés “a/an” va a tener cuatro formas: “un, una, unos y unas”. Las formas del plural pueden ser las equivalentes a las inglesas “some y any”.
