Pretérito Imperfecto - Spanish Verbs

We generally use the Pretérito Imperfecto of the Indicative Mood to express past actions that were repeated in the past. All of the regular and most of the irregular verbs are conjugated following the rules under the regular verbs.

 

Regular Spanish Verbs

The personal endings for the Pretérito Imperfecto of the Indicative Mood are listed below.

 

TIP: Most Spanish verbs fall under the -ar group.

 

Irregular Spanish Verbs

Other irregular verbs are highly irregular.

Examples include:

Pretérito Imperfecto - Verbos Españoles

Generalmente usamos el Pretérito Imperfecto del Modo Indicativo para expresar acciones pasadas que eran repetidas en el pasado. Todos los verbos regulares y la mayoría de los verbos irregulares se conjugan siguiendo las reglas de los verbos regulares.

Las terminaciones personales para el Pretérito Imperfecto del modo Indicativo son como se indica a continuación.

 

Nota: La mayoría de los verbos españoles pertenecen al grupo terminado en –ar.
