Job Hunting.
Job-hunting is the act of looking for work or employment. Job-hunting in Spanish
speaking countries is the same, as you would expect from any country. The most common
methods of looking for work is via online job search engines, looking through the
classifieds in newspapers, using employment agencies and via friends. Another great
modern-day search is via online social networking. In Spain, a very common method
is cold calling. Job seekers literally arrive at the business and drop off their
resumes at the reception or with the human resource manager.
The first goal of job hunting is to secure a face-to-face interview with the employee.
This is usually achieved in the format of a CV or resume. Here you need to ensure
that your CV is written to the correct standard and format as to the position you
are applying for. Remember, there is no one correct format. It is however generally
recommended that the CV be kept brief, concise, organized, truthful and targeted
to the position applied. With most occupations, the resume should focus on your
past accomplishes. Do not mention your future ambitions, this will likely be discussed
in the interview.
Once you have secured the interview, you must dress for the interview. No matter
what the position. Always dress to impress on a professional level. Your best bet
is to dress conservatively. Once again I am speaking generally here. Interview times
can vary from 15 minutes to a couple of hours. You might only need a single interview
to secure a position in the business or you might go through a series of interviews.
Most of those decisions are business related. So be prepared.
In the interview be courteous and truthful. Remember, the person interviewing you,
has most likely interviewed 100’s if not 1000’s of candidates
through his professional
career. He will be looking for your ability to cope under pressure, your ability
to work as a team member, your ability to pro-actively lead members of your team
if the situation calls for it. If your weaknesses become the focus of the interview,
be positive and truthful and then provide constructive solutions to your weaknesses.
Remember, the interviewer knows you will have weaknesses. He just wants you to answer
correctly and professionally to how you will deal with your weakness or weaknesses
of others. Most of the time the answer to weaknesses is resolved via teamwork.

La búsqueda de trabajo es el acto de buscar un empleo. La búsqueda de trabajo en los países de habla española es lo mismo, como usted cabría esperar, que en cualquier otro país. Los métodos más comúnmente usados para buscar trabajo son a través de buscadores de trabajo online, mirando en los clasificados de los periódicos, usando agencias de empleo y a través de amigos. Otra búsqueda genial y moderna de hoy en día es utilizar las redes de contactos sociales online. Es España, un método muy común es que los que buscan trabajo literalmente llegan a los negocios y dejan sus currículos en la recepción o en la oficina del director de personal.
El primer objetivo en la búsqueda de trabajo es asegurarse de conseguir una entrevista cara a cara con el empresario. Esto se consigue normalmente en el formato de currículo. Aquí tiene que asegurarse de que su currículo está escrito correctamente y el formato se adapta a la posición que usted está solicitando. Recuerde, no hay un único formato correcto. Sin embargo, normalmente se recomienda que el currículo sea breve, conciso, organizado, que se adapte a la realidad y orientado a la posición que se está solicitando. Con la mayoría de las ocupaciones, el currículo debería centrarse en sus logros adquiridos en el pasado. No mencione futuras ambiciones, esto probablemente será discutido durante la entrevista.

Recuerde, el entrevistador sabe que usted tendrá puntos débiles. Sólo quiere saber que usted responde correcta y profesionalmente a cómo enfrentarse a sus puntos débiles y a los de otros. La mayoría de las veces la respuesta a sus puntos débiles es resuelta mediante trabajo en equipo.
